Hopefully you’ll be packing a diaper when you head to your local comic book shop this October to pick up the first issue of Zeb Wells’ upcoming Carnage mini-series because, if Patrick Zircher’s variant cover is any indication, it’s going to be pretty frightening.
Not convinced? Take a peek at the cover and judge for yourself (click on the image below for the full cover):

If you were in attendance at this year’s Fan Expo in Toronto, you’re undoubtedly aware that Daredevil’s certainly going to be going through some rough times over the next couple of months leading up to the finale of the ongoing Daredevil series.
Following December’s Shadowland: After The Fall one-shot, Marvel will be capping off the current run of Daredevil and kicking off a brand new four part mini-series called Daredevil: Reborn. Fortunately for us, cover artist Jock has been so kind as to share the first issue’s cover via his Twitter page (click on the image for a larger version):

While the post has since been removed, we’ll hopefully have more info within the next couple weeks. What are your theories on the fate of Matt Murdock? Any chance that Daredevil will ever be the same in the post-Shadowland Marvel U?
I really liked No Hero and Black Summer, both of which were written by Warren Ellis and published by Avatar Press, but more importantly I really like Juan Jose Ryp’s amazing artwork which appear in both of those books.
What does this have to do with anything? Well, it just so happens that the upcoming series Wolverine: The Best There Is happens to be drawn by Ryp as well and is being promoted by Marvel as “the most violent Wolverine series ever”.
Pretty bold statement by Marvel but if anyone’s going to do it, it’s Ryp and the writer of the book, Charlie Huston. Preview?
You bet.

I’ve always been a pretty big fan of the original Atom, Ray Palmer. When I was a kid, I remember getting a pile of old DC comic books from my uncle and, of all the characters in the books I got, The Atom was the one that I found the most interesting.
What does this have to do with this post? Nothing really. I just like The Atom… which means I’ll definitely be picking up the new Brightest Day special, written by newly exclusive DC writer Jeff Lemire. Take a peek:
Brightest Day: The Atom is in stores this week.
