First Look: Captain America Movie Costume

While it might not actually be Captain America himself Chris Evans, Daily Mail’s pictures of Evans’ stunt double give us a pretty good look at what to expect from the costume in the upcoming movie. Predictably, this looks very similar to the concept art Marvel showed off a while back but it’s nice to see the suit in action.

What do you think of Cap’s costume? Toss us a comment and let us know!

Marvel Beginning Work On Iron Fist Movie?

According to Deadline, Marvel has brought a screenwriter on board for their new movie project: ‘Iron Fist’. Nothing against the character but should a fairly unknown (to the general public anyway) character like Iron Fist be tossed into the movie making queue? That being said, this certainly makes sense what with Disney & Marvel’s plan to start making movies based on lesser known characters but I can’t help but think that there are some better known characters that would benefit more from the silver screen treatment and potentially earn the company a larger paycheck.

Some time ago, Ray Park (Snake Eyes from the recently released GI Joe movie) had expressed interest in playing the character but with nothing confirmed other than xXx screenwriter Ray Wilkes being brought on to get the ball rolling, nothing is known about which direction the company will take with casting or story.

Tony Scott Set For Millar & McNiven’s ‘Nemesis’

While with Mark Millar’s tactic of selling movie rights to comics he’s barely written (see Kick-Ass) is hardly a surprise to most people, the fact that Tony Scott, director of such films as Top Gun, Days of Thunder, True Romance, Enemy of the State and The Taking of Pelham 123 to name a few, has been signed on to direct the recently announced big screen adaption of Millar and artist Steve McNiven’s Nemesis comic should be.

According to Bleeding Cool, the film has been officially picked up by 20th Century Fox with Scott selected to direct. Word is that the movie is being rushed by Fox with the intent to get it into production as soon as possible.

With only 2 issues of Nemesis released so far, is anyone else getting the feeling that this whole movie adaptation thing might be a little premature? I mean, with Kick-Ass at least the series had hype and a pretty big fan base early-on. Nemesis thus far has received pretty lukewarm reviews from critics and, from what I can tell, doesn’t appear to have sold quite as well as the first couple issues of Kick-Ass.

I suppose only time will tell.
