Marvel’s X-Men Go To War With The Avengers Next Year
While we’ve already seen some fists fly between Marvel’s two superhero groups during the Allan Heinberg helmed Childrens Crusade, it looks like the publisher is taking it a step further beginning next year as we see the two teams collide for the fate of the Phoenix Force, which has come back to Earth to claim a new host.

The series, according to Marvel, will be a twelve issue, bi-weekly event that will feature writers Brian Michael Bendis, Jason Aaron, Jonathan Hickman, Matt Fraction and Ed Brubaker all sharing the writing duties. In the art department, Avengers vs. X-Men will be drawn by Olivier Coipel, John Romita Jr. and Adam Kubert.
The first issue of Avengers vs. X-Men will arrive in April of 2012.
