Central Canada Comic Con 2011: Day 2

WRITTEN BY Rob Brambilla   Posted on 29 October 2011   C4 2011, Comic Convention

Being only my second convention, C4 2011′s day two was a blast. It was almost everything that you could have seen yesterday – the wrestling, the cosplay, grown men attacking eachother with foam weapons, video game tournaments, costume contests, and more.

Despite the utter confusion regarding when the con was closing & the almost three-hour-wait for the costume contest to be judged, things seemed to go off without much of a hitch. The con was certainly busy. It was nice to see such a variety of people there – otaku, gamers, LARPers, comic book fans/collectors, families, etc.

I’m thankful for all the great costumes that I was able to get a picture of, and am hoping to head down for day three. While I was able to get a picture of almost everybody I asked without an issue, there was a single attendee that told me I couldn’t take a photo because I didn’t know whom they were. It’s unfortunate, because the costume was great. I just wish they had the grace to teach me of whom they were instead of attempting to punish me for not knowing. I digress.

C4 2011 seems like it’s going very well, and POA will be headed back for the third & final day. Keep an eye out for us & say hello!

If you weren’t able to make it down today, we’ve got a handful of pictures from today’s festivities:

  • Big Fan

Any pictures of the Toy Army Men that were there on Saturday?

Unfortunately, they were one of a few highlights that I missed; I also missed the ever-popular Elektra-Deadpool that were walking about. We’re hoping to get a table or booth next year though, so hopefully that will help us to snap a picture of all of the cosplayers!
