If you haven’t seen it already, Marvel Studios has released the first official trailer for writer/director Joss Whedon’s The Avengers starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson, as the heroes and villains you have come to know and love. Check it out below:

I’m not one to over analyze trailers, but it looks as though we can expect a massive battle in what I believe is New York City, along with endless amounts of witty banter between the eclectic personalities within the group. The film is set for a May 4th, 2012 release and it’s going to be wild. Here is the official synopsis of the movie:
