In an exciting piece of casting news EW has reported that Laurence Fishburne has been cast to play the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet, Perry White, in Zack Snyder’s upcoming reboot Man of Steel.

The film -which was recently delayed from December 2012 to June 14 2013- has Superman facing off against General Zod (played by Michael Shannon).

The cast which includes the above actors, along with Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, and Russell Crowe, will be an important film for Warner Brothers and the DC movie brand to show that they have wings beyond the Batman franchise as Superman Returns was deemed a disappointment and well…we all know about Green Lantern.
