SDCC: Marvel Teases Scarlet Spider Return?

Those out there that still reeling from Marvel’s Clone Saga back in the 90s would definitely have been unpleasantly surprised by this afternoon’s tease after the company’s Spider-Man panel. In the closing moments of the event, a familiar sight made an appearance in the form of Scarlet Spider’s vest. Click the image below for the full teaser.

Marvel’s already taken a second look, or rather a re-imagining, at the Clone Saga back in 2009 so I have a feeling this reappearance will be something more related to the current status of the Marvel U. With rumours kicking around of his return since Comic-Con last year, it seems like only a matter of time until we see Ben Reilly back in Spidey’s life.

      If they're going to bring him back at all, (especially since Steve Wacker said they're not bringing back Ben Reilly) there's no better time than during Spider Island.
