DC Comics Resurrects Letters Column For 2011

Ever read a DC book and had a question that the wonders of the internet just couldn’t answer? Have you ever been confused or angered after reading a book to the point that you wanted to vent your frustrations right to the publisher? Well, you’re in luck!

Beginning… presumably right now, you can send all your comments, letters and rants to DC. While it’s not a guarantee that they’ll actually read or answer your letter, it’s better than spilling your guts on a website or blog like some sort of soapbox…

*cough*

The reasoning behind the return of the letter column is simple, according to DC Comics co-Publisher Dan Didio, who chatted with CBR about it earlier today:

When we were rethinking our books and going to the $2.99 strategy, we wanted to make sure that even though the page count went down to 20 pages for the books themselves, there could still be more content or things people could enjoy in the monthly comics. One of those things we went back to was the letters pages.

He also goes on to mention that another big motivator behind the return is idea of building a community between the creators, publishers and the readers, which is always nice.
