In addition to another ‘Fear’ teaser this morning, showing Iron Man (above) possibly fearing the legacy or possibly lack of that he will leave behind, Marvel has also announced their upcoming ‘Fear Itself’ event that will be taking place in April 2011. The event will be written by Matt Fraction and drawn by Stuart Immonen. According to Tom Brevoort at the announcement this morning, the scale of this event will be similar to Secret Invasion or even Civil War in terms of fallout and magnitude and will take place throughout the entire Marvel Universe.

Oh Marvel, you and your events. You know what was great about House of M and The Onslaught crossover? Yes, they changed things, but nothing had drastically altered things in a long time. Now Marvel seems to change things every few years, just to keep it fresh and interesting… I think that, after this, they should give it a 10 year break, no major events, lets return to some sense or normalcy, just for a bit.
