AMC Renews Walking Dead For Second Season

WRITTEN BY Mike Haynes   Posted on 01 September 2010   Comic TV News

Sure the first episode (let alone season) for the upcoming television adaptation of The Walking Dead has yet to reach a TV set near you, but AMC has already decided to renewed the series for a second season. While this is most likely due to the enormous following that the series has already gotten after being shown off at San Diego Comic-Con and then being released online sometime later, you have to imagine that AMC has been possibly won over by the end result of Frank Darabont and Robert Kirkman’s work on the debut season of the show enough to support it… well, blindly.

Walking Dead fans rejoice. This is your time.

This is our time! This show looks awesome (unless you ask the douches on its IMDB page, who mostly think it looks like a bad rip off of 28 days later)

Judging by the footage that was shown off at San Diego, the show should be pretty entertaining. Looks like it'll be following the book pretty closely too which bodes well for the long-term success given that the comic has such a huge readership.
