Breaking down Brightest Day #0
I have a lot of comics. I have so many comics that it can take me a little while to get caught up on all the ones I’ve bought. A perfect example of that is Brightest Day #0, which came out a couple weeks ago, that I finally got around to reading yesterday. After doing so, I have to say that DC has really gotten a clear idea as to where they want not only the Green Lantern universe but the DCU in it’s entirety to go. The focus of the world as a whole seems much more focused.

The book begins with Deadman, who is now alive and well as opposed to his usual dead “body-inhabiting” self. From there, we’re transported around to various locations within the DCU where the characters who were revived during the final pages of Blackest Night are trying to figure out why it is that they’re back amongst the living and how exactly they fit into the new world.
Brightest Day #0 is a great first step into what looks to be a promising direction for DC as a publisher. If you’re new to the company’s line, were steered away for whatever reason and are looking to get back into it or are simply looking for something new, Brightest Day #0 is a pretty good point to jump in on.
