CBR’s Doug Zawisza slaps a 5-star on Blackest Night #8

Sure it was good but… 5 stars?

Alright, fine. Looking back the final issue, as well as the series as a whole, I suppose it really was that damn good.

As much as I might rag on the series as being a Power Rangers rip-off, there’s no arguing that this series had some of the best writing and artwork in a massive crossover book, period. I was extremely disappointed with Final Crisis so, to me, this seemed like DC’s way of making up for their mistakes and overcoming the obstacles of Marvel’s mega-event dominance over the last while.
